Dell is a superb 7,000 acre mixed sporting estate in Stratherrick offering almost every type of country sport. There is excellent partridge and pheasant shooting and evening duck flighting. Walked up grouse shooting is available August and September. Challenging stalking can be arranged of red and sika deer. Loch fishing for trout is available on the varied beautiful hill lochs, one of which is stocked annually. There is also a new access track to Loch Ness, with wonderful views and opportunities for salmon fishing. The new log cabin at Loch Kemp is ideal for picnics and sporting parties.
Accommodation The Lodge is a uniquely beautiful 18th century Georgian House, elegantly and traditionally furnished, consisting of a Drawing Room with a log fire, Dining Room seating 14, a TV room and first floor playroom. There is a large breakfast/kitchen, utility room, drying room and boot room. There is a double en suite bedroom, a twin en suite bedroom, 4 further twin bedrooms, 2 single bedrooms and 2 further bathrooms. There is also a cook's room all of which make it ideally suited for both family and sporting holidays. The house has full oil fired central heating and logs and coal are provided. Bed linen and towels are also provided. There is an honesty telephone if needed. The house is served by a private water supply.
It is easily accessible, being less than an hour from Inverness Airport, yet lies in a secluded glen close to Loch Ness. The Lodge is usually let on a self catered basis, but fully catered letting can also be arranged. The garden cottage can be rented with the lodge or separately.
