The Glencalvie Estate, approached through part of the ancient forest of Caledonia, at the head of Strathcarron, is one of the finest sporting estates in the Highlands.

Extending over 20,000 acres and including both Glen Diebidale and Glen Calvie, two of the most picturesque glens in this part of Ross-shire, the ground rises from Glencalvie Lodge at 300ft. to Carn Chuinneag at 2,749ft.

From the Estate there are lovely views to the east and west coasts, and the hills which are interlaced with well maintained pony tracks, have a number of trout lochs, some of which are stocked.

Glencalvie Lodge

Glencalvie Lodge offers accommodation in great comfort for up to 14 people, each with its own bathroom. The extensive lawns and policies are most attractively laid out. There is a small loch in front of the lodge which is stocked with brown trout, and there is a hard tennis court.

The lodge is available from Sunday to Sunday. Catering arrangements can be made if required.

Diebidale Lodge

Diebidale Lodge has recently been extended and refurbished to provide comfortable accommodation for family parties of up to 10. Situated in a commanding but secluded position up Glen Diebidale, the lodge is the perfect retreat for the sportsman or family who wish to enjoy the grandeur of the Highlands in comfort.

Fishing

Glencalvie has some of the best fishing on the River Carron, including the famous Falls Pool, providing salmon fishing for up to 4 rods.

There is a reciprocal arrangement with the neighbouring Amat Estate, whereby from early June Glencalvie tenants fish rotating beats, ensuring that there is double bank fishing at all times. The first fish generally arrive at Glencalvie at the beginning of May and through until the end of the season on 30th September, given the right water conditions, rods can enjoy spectacular sport.

Stalking

From the beginning of September stalking is available for one or two rifles with 6 stags being taken each week (additional stags by arrangement).

Whether for a corporate or family holiday there can be no finer destination in the Highlands than Glencalvie
