Extending over some 20,000 acres of the most spectacular scenery, Rhidorroch is one of the best mixed sporting estates in the Highlands. The estate is quite unique as you can catch salmon on an East coast river and on a West coast river. There is also a variety of wild brown trout fishing, red and sika deer stalking. The estate is adjacent to the picturesque fishing village of Ullapool making it ideal for sporting and family holidays.

The Fishings
Rhidorroch is quite unique in having two salmon rivers, one flowingto the west coast and the other to the east coast.

Flowing westward the Ullapool River, although a spate river, holds up well for 4 or 5 days due to the 2 mile long Loch Achall at its head.  It provides superb fly fishing on two beats, for up to 4 rods from the end of June, when the first grilse appear, through August and September when a steady stream of salmon and grilse run. Loch Achall itself offers salmon and breakfast sized brown trout from bank and boat.

Flowing east, the Rappach, a tributary of the famous Oykel, is probably the most remote salmon river in Scotland. It has glorious fly water and can provide spectacular sport for four rods given good conditions, from July until the end of September.  Additionally, there are a dozen hill lochs with some of the best
wild brown trout fishing in the Highlands. As part of the Wester Ross Fisheries Trust management initiative, the estate are operating a Catch and Release Policy on both rivers.

Stalking
During July, August and September, two stags can be taken per week and in October up to five red stags per week. In addition Sika stags and additional stalking can be arranged with prior notice.

Grouse Shooting
The estate does not have many grouse and on a good year it may be possible to have a day walked up but on the understanding it may be a long walk for nothing.
It may also be possible however to arrange a day of driven grouse shooting in Inverness-shire depending on the availability.

Clay Pigeon Shooting
A trap and clay pigeons are available for use. The estate will provide the clays but not the cartridges.
