Rhidorroch Estate has
a large variety of attractions that suits the naturalist, sporting enthusiast
as well as the family party.
At the start of the Glen and
by the sea lies the picturesque fishing village of Ullapool offering
an enormous range of facilities from seafood restaurants, to island
boat trips.
The estate road, with the
loch and river alongside, then winds its way eastwards through Glen
Achall with its woodlands of Birch, Alders Rowans and rare Caledonian
Pines. These woodlands and the grassy riverbed give wonderful shelter
for Red and Sika deer and also for an incredible variety of resident
and migratitory birds, all that can be seen from the roadside.
Rhidorroch House is only 4
miles from Ullapool. It lies above Loch Achall with commanding views
up the Glen to the East and to the South.
Features of the house include
a large veranda, an oak panelled dining room, full sized billiard
table, children's TV room, converted games room and traditional comfortable
drawing room.
