Sporting Lets has been in existence for over 5 decades and we are very privileged to work with over one hundred of Scotland’s great sporting estates, rivers, shoots and lodges together with thousands of eager sportsmen and women who travel to Scotland every year. We offer expert advice, together with a full service, to both estates looking to let and manage their sporting assets and to tenants looking to secure days or weeks. Mungo joined Sporting Lets in October 2013 and has a detailed knowledge of all facets of Scottish Estate life. Mungo has worked as both a fishing and stalking ghillie in Scotland, a Russian fishing camp manger and has guided in Iceland. Mungo has completed degrees at St Andrews and Reading Universities, worked in commercial property for 6 years, and rural property for a further 8 years. This breadth of experience and passion for Scotland means that Mungo is uniquely placed to advise on all aspects of Scottish sport.

Joanne joined the Sporting Lets team in September 2016 and has a flair for planning and fine detail both of which are executed with ruthless efficiency. With a background in hospitality, a breadth of travel experience and a love of Scotland’s wild places Joanne is a key member of the team and is always delighted to share her knowledge.

Robert Rattray is a qualified Chartered Surveyor, who headed up the Sporting Letting Department of Galbraith from 1993 to his retirement in 2021. As a result, he has an unrivalled knowledge of the Sporting Estates of Scotland. Robert is now a full time consultant to Ossian Sporting Lets, and assists in all aspects of the business. He current specializes in putting together & hosting bespoke group trips both within the UK and abroad. His recent hosted and guided trips have varied from chasing huge sea-run brown trout in Tierra del Fuego to luxury grouse shooting in Yorkshire. Prior to joining Sporting Lets, he was involved in test fishing new locations all over the world, including Russia, Tierra del Fuego, and a number of saltwater fly fishing destinations including Belize and Cuba. His last overseas exploratory trip was to the Falklands in early 2020. Robert has a degree in Estate management from Reading University. He also served in a Highland Regiment for nearly ten years, based in Scotland but with postings all over the world. He is a published author and photographer. Robert is passionate about his sport, particularly the conservation of Atlantic Salmon. He has served on a number of Salmon Fishery Boards, and is a trustee of the Atlantic Salmon Conservation Trust.
