Loch Hope remains one of the best sea trout systems in the country. It bucked the trend in 2016 with strong runs of quality sea-trout up to 5lb and beyond which were complimented by good numbers of grilse. Under the stewardship of Wildland Ltd daily boat lets are once again available on this beautiful loch with or without outboard motors. The loch is split into three beats, South End, Middle Bay and North End and traditional wet style still rules the roost. In a westerly wind a kate mclaren (with a wide silver rib), small goats toe and silver butcher on a small double (substitute your own favourites!) working the waves on a short cast can produce spectacular sport and never, ever, neglect the dap. Wild sport in the wildest of surroundings. Boats can be let by the day or week and the first fish can be expected from the end of June onwards and July, August and September can all produce great fishing.
