Sutherland & Caithness

Caithness and Sutherland are a bewitching part of Scotland. Caithness is dominated by the flow country some, used to the hustle and bustle of urban life, find it desolate. We think the opposite. It is land of big, big skies, twittering skylarks, bog myrtle blowing in the wind and views to the Orkneys and a magical, shifting light. Sutherland is larger and the isolated sandstone peaks of Foinaven, Arkle and Suilven form a dramatic contrast to the more gentle country of Caithness. Both are blessed with superb lodges, fishing of the highest calibre and stalking either for wary flow country stags or across Sutherland’s famous deer forests.
